12 Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible cause
Solution
Decreased air pressure
Underpressure
Ambient temperatures and weather condi-
tions affect the internal pressure of inflat-
able boats. In cold environments, the air will
shrink, creating underpressure.
In such cases, adding some air to reach the
operating pressure is necessary to maintain
the optimum boating characteristics.
Inflation valve
Make sure the boat has the correct operat-
ing pressure. Then check the inflation valve
using a solution of detergent and water to
ensure the valve is tightened properly.
If there is a leak (formation of air bubbles),
tighten the inflation valve with the key pro-
vided for this purpose.
Check that the push-push mechanism of the
inflation valve is in the highest position.
If it is not in the highest position, press the
push-push mechanism lightly and turn it a
quarter turn so that it is in the highest posi-
tion.
Check that the push-push mechanism is
working properly.
If it isn’t, replace the push-push mechanism
with the spare part supplied with it.
Seams
Make sure that the boat has the correct
operating pressure. Then, using a solution of
detergent and water, check whether there is
a leak in 1 of the seams or surfaces.
If air bubbles occur, repair them using the
patches and glue provided.
Increased air pressure
Overpressure
At higher temperatures, air expands and can
create overpressure.
In such cases, it is important to release some
air to prevent damage to the air chambers.
Staining & sticking
The PVC fabric fades
and sticks
Prolonged exposure to the sun can cause
the fabric to age rapidly, resulting in dis-
colouration and adhesive issues due to UV
radiation.
When the boat is not in use, avoid prolonged
sun exposure and always use the protective
cover supplied.
Attaching accessories
Insufficient adhesion of
oar locks to the tube
using the tube of glue
provided.
The tube of glue supplied is only suitable for
gluing air seams and small cracks.
Use a 2-component adhesive suitable for
PVC boats.
