Specifying Output Settings
1.
At the printer control panel, press the
Machine Status
button, then touch the
Tools
tab.

Make the desired changes to the features:

Contention Management
prioritizes copy and print jobs.
•
Priority
specifies the relative priority of the copy or print jobs. The lower the number, the
higher the priority.
•
First In/First Out
schedules jobs to print based on their entry into the Job Queue.

Out of Staples Options
specifies how the printer handles a print job that requires staples when
the printer has run out of staples.
−
Output Location
specifies the location for jobs when a finisher is not available.
−
Within Job Offsetting
instructs the printer to separate print sets within an overall job. If you
select
Disable
, the printer stacks all printed sets together.

Staple Productivity Mode
specifies where the printer applies staples to a print job.

When finished, touch
Save
.
Note:
Not all options listed are supported on all printers. Some options apply only to a specific
printer model, configuration, operating system, or driver type. Some options are available only if a
finisher is installed.
