Using the range relevant to the measure-
ment on the shape dedicated to low current
values on small diameter conductors, put the
conductor under test in correspondence of
the markers on the shape itself.
NOTE The measurement accuracy can be affected by strong external magnetic fields generated
by transformers, high-current conductors, or strong external electric fields generated by
broadcasting equipment.

WARNING
The digital clamp meter is designed for the direct use also on
non-insulated conductors. In this situation it is recommended to
wear the personal protective equipment required by the legisla-
tion about safety in the workplace (insulating gloves and boots,
protection shield and helmet), to prevent electric shocks.
Do not carry out measurements on conductors where there is a
current with fundamental nominal frequency higher than 400Hz.
ATTENTION
Do not apply voltage to the inputs when measuring resistance or
testing continuity.
Failure to do so, could result in damage to both the unit and the
operator.
It is mandatory to make sure that the circuit under test is not live
and any existing capacitors in the circuit itself are discharged.
In the current measurement it is possible to activate
the following additional functions (details at
chapter 3):
• HOLD function to record the measured value on
the display
• ∆ function to obtain the visualization of the
relative value
• Zero- ∆ function to cancel the residual magneti-
zation of DC current
• REC function to record the maximum and mini-
mum values MAX/MIN on the display.
• CREST function to acquire peak current or
voltage values with a minimum duration of 5
milliseconds
5.3. Resistance measurement and continuity test
1. Set the rotary switch to Ω .
2. Insert the red test lead in the + input terminal
and the black test lead in the COM terminal.
3. Connect the test leads in parallel to the circuit
to be measured.
NOTE:
The default function is the resistance measurement;
press [SELECT] to switch to the continuity test
function.
The continuity condition is proven by the acoustic
signal and by the flashing of the backlight.
