ATTENZIONE
Questo strumento è stato
progettato per prevenire
infortuni all’operatore se
correttamente e propriamente usato.
Tuttavia, nessuna progettazione ingegneristica
all'operatore che allo strumento.
AVVERTIMENTO
Ogni qualvolta si tema che le misure di
protezione siano state ridotte, occorre
mettere l'apparecchio fuori servizio e
impedirne ogni funzionamento involon-
tario.
Questo strumento serve alla misura di grandezze
elettriche. Esso deve pertanto essere utilizzato da
personale competente, addestrato ad eseguire
lavori elettrici sotto tensione secondo le normative
vigenti, conscio dei rischi propri dell'elettricità e a
conoscenza delle norme di sicurezza relative. Alle
caratteristiche ed avvertenze riportate su questo
manuale, vanno aggiunte e considerate tutte le
norme di sicurezza di carattere generale e quelle
defi nibili come "uso appropriato".

2. General precautions
• To prevent electric shocks,
pay particular attention
when measuring signals
with voltages higher than
30VACrms, 42.4V peak or
60VDC.
• Do not measure current and
voltage values exceeding
the maximum rating input
value. Failure to comply
with this standard could
cause damage to the
instrument or serious injury
to the operator.
• Maximum input value:
—
600A AC/DC continuous
(Freq: 50…400Hz)
—
600V AC* (Freq: 50…60Hz)
—
600V DC*
*between the input terminals
• Do not store the instrument in areas exposed to
direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, or
condensation.
• After use, always set the rotary switch to "OFF".
•
Keep the instrument dry and do not use it with
wet hands.
•
Do not subject the instrument to vibrations or
violent shocks.
•
Do not store the instrument in environments with
high levels of dust.
•
Never use the instrument with open or badly
closed housing.
•
To prevent electric shocks, do not use the instru
-
ment on lines with voltage exceeding 300 VAC
rms to the ground (CAT IV) and 600VAC rms to
the ground (CAT III).
•
Avoid stepping on or squashing the test leads.
Keep the test leads away from heat sources,
such as live bars. Failure to observe these pre
-
cautions could damage the insulation of the test
leads, altering the initial safety characteristics.
• The measurement accuracy can be affected by
strong external magnetic fields generated by
transformers, high-current conductors, or strong
external electric fields generated by broadcast
-
ing equipment.
• The measurement accuracy can be affected by
strong high-frequency magnetic fields generated
by induction cooking systems.
• In order not to alter
the accuracy of the
instrument, do not try
to grasp any object
with the jaws and do
not place anything
between them. Do not
try to forcibly insert the
jaw in confined areas by exerting excessive
pressure on it.
• Gently clean the surface of the instrument with a
soft cloth dampened with a little water or a mild
cleanser. Avoid cleaning the instrument using
products containing organic solvents like petrol,
alcohol, acetone, ether, ketone, thinner or diesel
fuel. These agents could discolor or damage the
plastic parts of the instrument until reducing its
insulation characteristics.
• In the current measure-
ment hold the instru-
ment while keeping
your hand protected
by the dedicated
protective barrier as a
safe access limit to the
housing.
•
Keep the test leads with your fingers protected
by the dedicated protective barrier.
•
By using the test leads, carry out voltage meas
-
urements in environments classified as CAT IV
and CAT III using only the test leads complete
Upon receipt of the instrument, carefully check that it has not been damaged during transport. If there is
any possibility that the instrument got damaged or it seems not to work properly, contact a sales repre
