1. Introduction

ATTENTION

This instrument has been

designed to prevent injuries

to the operator if properly

used. However, no engineering design can make

an instrument safe if it is not used and maintained

with the due care and precautions and in compli-

ance with the standards.

This manual must be read carefully and in its

entirety before carrying out any measurement.

Failure to follow the instructions and the safety

standards can cause damages to both the opera-

tor and the instrument.

WARNING

Whenever there is the concern that the

protection measures have been reduced,

the instrument must be put out of ser-

vice, thus preventing any unintentional

operation.

This instrument measures electrical quantities.

Therefore, it must be used by competent staff ,

trained to carry out electric works under voltage

according to the regulations in force, aware of the

risks of electricity and of the relevant safety stand-

ards. All safety standards, the general ones and

those, which can be defi ned as “appropriate use”,

must be considered, and added to the characteris-

tics and warnings reported on this manual.
