HPSA-7100-R Series Installation and User Manual

Audio Connections

Connections for the Audio Inputs are described below. Note that the HPSA-7100-V-KIT
is required when using a 70.7 or 100 V

RMS

Audio input.

1. Connect the external audio system’s audio output to the

Audio and Monitoring

Bridge

in accordance with the type of audio input (1/25/70.7/100 V

RMS)

as listed

below. Refer to Figure 5.5 and Figure 5.6 for the appropriate Audio In
connections to the AMB.

The HPSA-7100-V-KIT is required when

connecting a 70.7 or 100 V

RMS

Audio In from an External Audio Source.

The 70.7 or 100 V

RMS

Audio In are connected from J3 on the HPSA-

7100-V-KIT Interface Module to the 1V

RMS

J5-3, IV AUD IN

and

J5-4,

AUD RTN

connections on the AMB. Set the AMB audio select switch

SW1

to the 1 V

RMS

position. Refer to Appendix D and the

HPSA-7100-

V-KIT Installation Instructions,

P10-00096 for detailed instructions.

The optional HPSA-7100-V-KIT MUST be installed when configuring the
system for a 70.7 or 100 VRMS Audio Input; the 70 V Audio Input to the

AMB is no longer supported.

When using the optional HPSA-7100-V-KIT, the 70 V

RMS

and the 100 V

RMS

Audio Inputs will be connected thru the J3 connector on the Interface Module

of the HPSA-7100-V-KIT to the 1 V

RMS

connection on the HPSA’s AMB.

Refer to Appendix D and the

HPSA-7100-V-KIT Installation Instructions

P10-00096 for detailed instructions.

Some audio systems require end of line (EOL) resistors for supervision.
Install the EOL resistors across the AUD IN and AUD RET terminals on the

AMB according to the manufacturer's instructions.
