Using the HPSA-7100-R

  HPSA-7100-R Series Installation and User Manual

                                                     

P/N P01- 04946 Rev C

Press the button under 

Volume Up

 to raise the Master Volume one (1) step 

(0.25 db) at a time. This setting is preserved if the unit is powered down.

Press the button under 

Volume Down

 to lower the Master Volume one (1) 

step (0.25 db) at a time. This setting is preserved if the unit is powered down.

Use the 

X10 Switch

 option in conjunction with the Volume Up and Volume 

Down options to multiply their action by 10 (2.5 dB). 

3. When finished, press the 

Back 

button from the sub-menu command buttons (the 

softkeys) to return to the main menu.

4. Notify any personnel in the area that a test is upcoming and apply sufficient ear 

protection.

5. From the 

main menu

, scroll to 

Play Alarms 

and press 

ENTER

. A list of built-in 

alarms/tones displays on the LCD screen.

6. Scroll to the desired 

alarm/tone

 and press 

ENTER

. The alarm/tone immediately 

plays through the speakers.

7. If the volume needs further adjusting, repeat Steps 1-7.
8. Adjust the Master Limit to match the Master Volume setting.Refer to Section 7.2, 

Setting the Volume Controls when adjusting the Master Volume and Master 
Limit.

9. When finished, press 

CANCEL

 from the Control Panel or 

Stop Alarm

 or 

Cancel 

Alarm

 from the sub-menu command buttons (the softkeys) to return to the main 

menu.

SETTING THE LINE IN AND MASTER UNIT VOLUME ON THE HPSA IS 
CRITICAL; INCORRECT VOLUME SETTINGS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO 
THE DRIVERS RESULTING IN DEGRADED SPEAKER PERFORMANCE 
AND INTELLIGIBILITY. REFER TO SECTION 7.2, SETTING THE VOLUME 
CONTROLS, FOR MORE INFORMATION.

To stop the alarm/tone immediately, press the button underneath 

Stop 

Alarm.
