Operating elements

Presser foot lifter (F)

The presser foot is raised or lowered using this lever.

NOTE:

The machine will not start if the presser foot is up (except when winding).

Drop feed lever (G)

NOTE:

The drop feed lever can only be accessed when the extension table has been
removed.

a: Front view | b: Rear view | c: Feed dogs

Move the drop feed lever to the right for normal sewing. This moves the feed
dogs to the highest position. The lever should be in this position for most sewing
operations.

For darning or embroidering with the W6 embroidery unit or if the fabric is to be
moved by hand, move the drop feed lever to the left to lower the feed dogs.

Raise the feed dogs again for normal sewing work:

•

move the lever to the right.

•

Turn the hand wheel forwards (towards you) five times.

•

The feed dogs are raised again.
