Stitch Settings screen (thread tension)

Operating elements

NOTE:

 If the button for mirroring or stretching is not displayed, this stitch cannot 

be changed. The pattern table on the inside of the top cover indicates mirroring / 
stretching.

Mirroring and rotating, stretching (D)

The mirroring and rotating, stretching status is displayed in this line.

Stitch Settings screen (thread tension)

This machine automatically adjusts the thread tension when you select a pattern. 
However, you can also adjust the thread tension as follows by pressing the 
Thread Tension button.

Stitch width and length (A)

Thread tension (B)

Press the [+] button for higher tension. Press the [-] button for lower tension.
The value changes and the arrow moves up or down. The preset value is 
displayed in green.

Preset thread tension

The upper and lower thread interlock roughly in the middle of the fabric. This 
principle does not apply to stretch stitches.
Stretch stitches tend to have a stronger thread tension on one side to ensure 
stretchability and comfort.
The W6 machines’ factory settings are ideal. 95% of all errors occur due to 
threading the sewing machine incorrectly.
