Sewing a test seam using straight stitch as an example

Sewing a test seam

1.

Check the presser foot (standard foot).
See the section on changing the presser foot.

2.

Place the fabric under the presser foot and lower it.
The indicator light is now green.

3.

Hold the upper thread behind the needle and press the Start / Stop button or
the foot pedal.
Hold the thread taut until you have sewn a few stitches. Guide the fabric
slightly when sewing.
You can adjust the sewing speed by moving the speed control during sewing
too. You can also reduce the sewing speed by pressing the Slow Sewing
button.

PLEASE NOTE Accident prevention.

Pay attention to the tip of the needle. Do not push or pull the fabric as it is
automatically transported by the machine.

4.

When you reach the end of the seam, press the Start / Stop button or release
the foot pedal to stop sewing.
The needle position depends on the Needle Up / Needle Down button
setting.
