Repair - lower gear housing, sailboat drive

11.

Install tool no.

884743

in the lower gear housing.

Use a 5/16" x 20 mm (3/4") screw. Alternatively, one
of the drive fixing screws can be used together with a
5 mm thick washer.

Take out the loose needles (25 pcs) if the needle roller
bearing needs to be changed.

Tighten the screw with the steel ball so that it presses
the vertical shaft up. Wrench size

24 mm

. Then dis-

assemble the tool.

Disassemble the outer bearing race from the upper

part of the gear housing, using tool no.

Remove the bearing race with expander
