Repair - MS2 reverse gear and upper gear housing, sailboat drive

Put on O-ring (1) and thread seal ring (2) on.

Install the propeller shaft flange and install

a new

nut.

Tighten the nut.

NOTE!

Start off with low torque and check with a

spring balance. Please refer to item 71.

Use spring balance

9985494

to check that the cor-

rect pre-load has been obtained.

Pre-load:

8.5-16.0 N (1.91-3.60 lbf)

Tighten the nut progressively until the correct pre-load
has been obtained.
