Remove the thermal cut-off switch.

Disconnect the wire from the thermal cut-off switch to the heater element.

Loosen the clamp securing the thermal cut-off switch to the heater element.

Remove the two screws and hex nuts securing the thermal cut-off switch to the tank lid.

Remove the old thermal cut-off switch by pulling it out the top of the tank lid.

Remove
