Step 4:

 When separating 

spray solenoid, note the 

piston and spring position in 

the piston shaft. 

Step 5:

 Remove the piston and spring 

from the lower portion of the spray 

head and clean the piston, spring and 

inside the plastic housing. 

Step 6:

 Also clean the top electromagnet 

housing of the spray solenoid. 

 

Step 8:

 The picture above shows the spray head solenoid disassembled from left to right. Once the four screws are 

removed the entire unit will disassemble as seen. Make sure to thoroughly clean every part seen above. Ensure 

that no solidified pretreatment polymers are stuck in the tips (#4), the piston & spring (#5) plunger housing (#4), 

and the electromagnet housing (#6). Reassemble in the reverse order as pictured above. 

NOTE:

 This cleaning 

procedure can be completed while the spray solenoid is still mounted on the spray bar of the Viper.
