3.
In the File Transfer Options section, select one of the following methods to upload the
HotFix CAB file(s) to the Wave Server. These options are described in more detail in
“Uploading a CAB file” in Chapter 23 in the
Wave Global Administrator Guide
.
•
Network Share
. When you choose this method, the CAB file is transferred directly
from the source location to the Wave Server. If prompted, enter the network
credentials (user name and password) required to access the network location.
•
Upload
. When you choose this method, the CAB file you specify is first transferred
from the source location to the PC you are using to run the Global Administrator
Management Console, and then to the Wave Server. The file to upload can be a
local file or a file from another network.
•
Removable Drive
. This option is only available if a removable USB flash drive
containing the CAB file has been inserted into the USB port on the Wave Server.
When you choose this method, the CAB file on the drive is copied directly to the
Wave Server.
4.
Click
Browse
and navigate to the directory containing the HotFix CAB file(s).
5.
Select the CAB file to apply and click
Open
. The CAB file is displayed in the
Filename
field.
6.
Do one of the following:
•
To apply a single HotFix, click
Add and Start Upgrade
. The HotFix is uploaded to
the Wave Server, and the upgrade process begins.
•
To apply multiple HotFixes in the same upgrade, click
Add
. Note that some time
may elapse while the HotFix CAB file(s) are uploaded to the Wave Server. Repeat
step 5 for each HotFix to be loaded.
Note:
If you are uploading from a removable drive, note that a USB flash drive may
contain a “packing list”, a builder-generated list of upgrades contained on the drive.
If a packing list is detected on the drive, the CAB files are automatically uploaded to
the Upgrade List in the order specified, so you don’t have to add the CAB files to the
Upgrade List individually
The HotFixes will be installed in the order listed. To re-order the list, select a
HotFix and then click
UP
or
DOWN
. When you are satisfied with the list of
HotFixes, click the
Start
button below the Upgrade List to initiate the upgrade.
Important:
Unless otherwise specified, best practice is to load HotFixes in
numerical order and load any Add-on HotFixes last (for example, Call Navigator
HotFixes.)
