Chapter 10: Installing the Wave Recording Archive Service

Wave Server Installation Guide

In the Wave Server Information screen, enter the Wave Server 

Host Name

, and then click 

Next

 to continue.

In the Setup Type dialog, select 

Typical

 to install the Recording Archive Service in the 

default location. 

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Vertical\Vertical Wave

Click 

Next

 to continue.

In the Windows Account Name and Password dialog, enter the name and password of the 
Windows account that you will use to run the Recording Archive Service. Click 

Next

 to 

continue.

26.

In the Microsoft SQL Server Password dialog, enter your SQL Server SA (system 
administrator) password. Click 

Next

 to continue.

27.

In the Ready to Install dialog, click 

Install

. If you are prompted to restart the PC, do so.

Assigning required access right to run the Recording Archive Service

Important:  

The Windows account that runs the Recording Archive Service must have the user 

right 

Log on as a service

. If you do not assign the required access rights to the Windows account 

that runs the Recording Archive Service, you will be unable to start the service.

You can use Local Security Settings (Secpol.msc) to assign the required access right. If this PC 
is a node in a cluster, verify that this user right is assigned to the Cluster service account on all 
nodes in the cluster. If you have already assigned this user right to the service account, and the 
user right appears to be removed, check with your domain administrator to find out if a Group 
Policy object associated with this node might be removing the right.
