interface package should start showing the “System Menu”.
Check the alarm screen and deal with any pending alarms before going back into service.
If no alarms are displayed on the screen after the system has booted up press SERVICE to start
the system.
ALARMS are shown on the screen, indicated by a red alarm button. Alarms must be
acknowledged by pressing the ALARM RESET button.
After all alarms have been actioned where necessary, return to the OVERVIEW screen. The
system is now ready to go into service.
Logon with the associated I-Button and press SERVICE.
Fill in the daily log sheet and adjust the CEDI and UF (if fitted) operating parameters if necessary,
see process description.
SYSTEM SHUTDOWN. I-Button access is required to shut the system down under normal
conditions, and the
“SHUTDOWN” button should be touched when system shutdown is required.
Isolation of the system is strongly recommended after shutdown.
EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN
In an emergency TURN THE UNIT OFF AT THE DOOR
INTERLOCK ISOLATOR.
IMPORTANT:
IF THE UNIT IS TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR MORE THAN ONE WEEK THEN IT
SHOULD BE HOT WATER SANITISED AND ALL THE ISOLATING VALVES CLOSED TO
PREVENT BACTERIAL CONTAMINATION.
IF IT IS TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR LONGER THAN ONE MONTH THEN IT SHOULD BE
PRESERVED WITH CHEMICALS FOR THE SAME REASON. A VEOLIA WATER ENGINEER
WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESERVE THE UNIT
.
7.3 PLANT MONITORING
The plant should be monitored on a daily basis and operating parameters recorded on log sheets.
The parameters should be assessed and any corrective actions carried out as necessary. If in doubt
consult Veolia Water.
In general the plant operates automatically with flows being adjusted by modulating valves. The
exception to this is the CEDI stack(s) which should be checked daily and adjusted to the flows
specified in the Technical Data section and pressures specified in the Process Description section.
IMPORTANT:
FAILURE TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE RECORDS AND ACT ON ANY DEVIATIONS
WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY.
Certain parameters need only be checked weekly as they are unlikely to change quickly.
Other parameters such as Bacteria and Endotoxin (UF units only) should be checked regularly
