Chocolate-stuffed curd cheese dumplings
Ingredients:
250 g of low-fat curd cheese
1 egg
1 pinch of salt
5 tbsp breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons oil
Butter breadcrumbs
25 pieces of chocolate (to taste)
Preparation:
Knead curd cheese, egg, salt, bread crumbs, flour and oil to a smooth dough. Let it sit for
a while.
Then split it into about 25 parts. If the dough is too liquid, alternate one tablespoon of
breadcrumbs and one tablespoon of flour until the consistency is right. Shape pieces into
balls and fill each with a piece of chocolate.
Pour water into the base of the food steamer. Place baking paper on the bottom of a
steam basket and place some of the dumplings on it. Repeat with others steam baskets
and put the rest of the dumplings on it. Close the lid, switch on the appliance and set the
timer to 15 minutes. Repeat until all dumplings are cooked.
Roll finished dumplings in the butter breadcrumbs.
Dough Dumplings
Ingredients:
250 g flour
½ pck dry yeast
25 g sugar
25 g butter
1 egg
125 ml warm milk
1 pinch of salt
Preparation:
Sift the flour into a bowl and sprinkle the yeast on it. Add 100 ml of the warm milk and stir.
Add butter, eggs, sugar and salt and knead everything together. If the dough is too dry
and crumbly, gradually add milk. The dough cannot stick to the hands or bowl. If the dough
becomes too sticky, add more flour. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in
a warm place for 60 minutes.
Then make tennis ball sized balls (about 3-4). Leave under a cloth again in a warm place
for 30 minutes, until they have risen noticeably.
Pour water into the base of the food steamer. Place baking paper on the bottom of a
steam basket, depending on size, place dumplings in it. Repeat with others steam baskets
and put the rest of the dumplings in it. Close the lid, switch on the appliance and set the
timer to 15 minutes. Repeat until all dumplings are cooked.
Serve with fruits, vanilla sauce, applesauce or as a hearty side, depending on your taste.
