Isolation Line
23. Open the pneumatic valve (
AV-135
) in the Isolation line just before the reactor.
24. Set the MFC in the Isolation line to 50% maximum flow.
25. When the MFC flow reads zero close the pneumatic valve (
AV-135
) and reset the MFC to zero flow.
26. Vacuum out and backfill the gas sources (e.g. SiH
4
).
Port Purge Line Procedure
27. Open the pneumatic valve (
AV-136
) in the Port Purge line just before the reactor.
28. Set the MFC in the Port Purge line to 50% maximum flow.
29. When the MFC flow reads zero close the pneumatic valve (
AV-136
) and reset the MFC to zero flow.
30. Close the manual valve (
MV-53
) just before Process pump. Tag the valve closed.
31. Close the Throttle Valve by selecting
Close
from the TV-mode drop down menu in Nexus.
Nitrogen Backfill Procedure
32. Open the N
2
gas supply valve (source isolation valve),
MV-3
.
33. Open the pneumatic valve (h) that supplies N
2
flow to the Hydride line. Give the associated MFC a set
point of 50% maximum flow.
34. Open the pneumatic valve (
AV-17
) that supplies N
2
to the Alkly Injector Block, Push Injection line and
Isolation line.
35. Give the MFC
Analog 86
in the Isolation line a 1 liter set point .
36. Give the MFC
Analog 87
in the Port Purge line a 1 liter set point.
37. Flow N
2
through the Alkyl Injector Block supply line by opening the pneumatic valve (
AV-129
) in the
Alkyl Line just before the Alkyl Injector Block and give the adjacent PC99 a 760 torr set point.
38. Set the Alkyl Injector MFCs to 10% of maximum flow.
39. Set the N
2
Push Injector MFCs to 10% of maximum flow.
40. Set the Hydride Injector MFCs to 10% of maximum flow.
41. Open the pneumatic valves (
AV-133, AV-135
and
AV-136
) to the reactor in the Alkyl, Push Injection,
Isolation and Port Purge lines. The reactor will begin to backfill with N
2
.
Caution:
Monitor reactor and Transfer Hub pressure carefully. Do not allow
pressure to go above atmospheric pressure (760 torr).
42. Open the Hydride N
2
line pneumatic valves (
AV-131
) to the reactor.
43. Open the Transfer Hub N
2
supply pneumatic valve (
AV-145
). This will backfill the Transfer Hub with
N
2
.
44. Backfill the reactor and Transfer Hub together adjusting the Transfer Hub MFC to keep pressure in
both similar.
45. When reactor reaches atmospheric pressure (760 torr), close the pneumatic valves (
AV-131,
AV-133,
AV-135
and
AV-136
) to the reactor in the Hydride, Alkyl, Push Injection, Isolation and Port Purge
lines.
46. Close the pneumatic valve (
AV-145
) to the Transfer Hub.
47. Close the valve between the reactor and the particle filters. Tag the valve closed.
