Stopping the Pump

Caution:

Leave the pump running for 30 minutes after the process gas has been

turned off to prevent corrosion and reaction of by products in the pump. To remove the

residual process gas from the inside the pump, purge with N

gas for a minimum of 1 hour

after the pump stops. Do not stop the N

gas when shutting down the pump for a short

period.

Caution:

Leave cooling water running for at least one hour after stopping the pump

to cool the pump casing. Take note that the casing remains very hot even after the pump is
off.

7. Close the Throttle Gate Valve, by activating the

Close

option in Nexus controls.

8. Close the manual valve in the reactor exhaust line (running from the reactor to the pump) closest to

the pump inlet.

9. To stop the pump, press the

Stop

key on the LCD controller.
