FAS-402-CH/ FAS-602-CH Series Operating Instructions Ver. 1.05E

[Replace when]  Temperature sensor is damaged.
[Essential tools]  Phillips screwdriver

The temperature sensor is positioned so that it slides in
between the heating element and the glass tape.
The temperature sensor is attached on the right end of the
pressure lever.

1

Remove the fluoro glass sheet referring to “9-2
Replace a fluoro glass sheet” for single-side heating
type or “9-3 Replace center-dry tape” for double-
side heating type.

2

Remove the heating element referring to “9-4
Replace a heating element.”

3

Disconnect the temperature sensor connector.
Remove Screw A-1, Screw A-2, and Screw B to
remove the temperature sensor fixing plate and
remove the temperature sensor.

4

Secure the temperature sensor fixing plate (the
Screw A-1 side) to the pressure lever by inserting
the protrusion of the temperature sensor fixing plate
into the hole at the end of the temperature sensor.

5

Temporarily secure the temperature sensor by
sliding the temperature sensor under the temperature
sensor fixing plate (the Screw A-2 side). (See the
picture on the right.)

Caution

Make sure that there is no slacking

between Screw A-1 and Screw A-2.

6

Firmly secure the temperature sensor fixing plate
(the A-2 side) while lightly pulling the sensor
toward the temperature sensor module so that there
is no slacking between the temperature sensor fixing
plate (the A-1 side) and the temperature sensor
fixing plate (the A-2 side).

Caution

 When pulling the temperature sensor,

pulling too hard by holding the
temperature sensor module may cause
the sensor portion to break.

7

Secure the temperature sensor module.

8

Reinstall the heating element and fluoro glass sheet
removed at the procedure

and

Caution

Not attaching the temperature sensor at
the correct position may cause the
sealing to fail.

Attention

Temperature sensor sensing part has to
come in the center of heating element.
Misaligning the temperature sensor will
prevent the machine from working
