Idle Speed Adjustments

If the “Motor Idle” position is selected (see previous paragraph), idle speed can be increased or decreased by
adjusting the idle speed potentiometer located on the speed control circuit board (Figure 7-4). A clockwise rotation
will increase idle speed. This adjustment will have no effect if the unit is in the “Motor Stop” mode.

Motor Stop/Motor Idle Jumper

The motor-speed control features a circuit that will either stop the hot-melt motor, or cause it to idle when the
machine reaches the minimum speed setting. A mode-select mini jumper (Figure 7-3) on the speed control circuit
card (located inside the hot-melt unit) can be positioned according to individual requirements. Unless specified,
units will be shipped with the jumper in the “Motor Stop” position.
