There is a connection on the interface board for supplying voltage to the DD-
1 pump. The cable used to connect the pump to the VC350AG should have a
minimum of two conductors (18-22 AWG).
To connect the pump cable to the control, follow these steps:
1. Insert the pump cable into the control enclosure through a cord
grip located on the bottom panel of the control.
2. Connect the pump cable to the 2-terminal connector labeled
“J10-DD-1 PUMP” on the interface board. Connections are as
follows:
3. Tighten the cord grip used by the pump cable.
For additional information, see the DD-1 Pump Manual (PN MS005).
The plant air system must supply at least 80 psi (6.5 bar) of clean, dry air to
the system. It may be necessary to install low-pilot inlet glue valves in place
of standard glue valves if 80 psi (6.5 bar) air is not available.
To connect the air supply, follow these steps:
1. Install plant air to the parent machine with a shutoff valve at the
end of the line.
2. Mount the applicator air-pressure regulator in a convenient place
near the shutoff valve.
3..... Using 3/8" tubing, connect the regulator to the applicator air
solenoid and the “AIR IN” port of the control (Figure 6-14).
4. Using 1/4" tubing, connect the fluid pressure regulator to the
“PRESSURE OUT” port
of the control.
5. Connect the output of the glue regulator to the glue valve.
Maximum pressure in = 100 psi.
Pressures above 100 psi can cause
damage to the pressure transducer.
