Installing the Glue Delivery System

The glue delivery system consists of the following components:

•

DD-1 pump

•

Air filter/regulator

•

Glue filter

•

Glue regulator

•

Glue-pressure gauge

•

Gauge protector

•

Glue-pressure relief system (optional)

Mechanical Installation of the Glue Delivery System

To install the glue delivery system (Figure 6-16), follow these steps:

1. Install a hose on the output of the drop line feeding the glue filter and regulator assembly.

Note!

Use a 1/2" reinforced hose if you are using a diaphragm pump, and a 1/2" high-pressure hose if you
are using a 2:1 or 5:1 piston pump.

2. Attach a 3/8" reinforced hose from the output of the glue regulator to the glue valve.

Note

For long runs, position the pump in the middle of the system.

Note

Use “T” connections; do not use “L” connections.

Note

Keep valve outlets plugged except when using valve to purge system.

The following materials can be used for lateral, drop, and feed lines:
