4. Removing the CashCode from the Wash Select II
Follow the steps below to remove the bill validator.
1.
Hold the Bill Validator at the top.
2.
Remove the two Phillips head screws on the left side of the Bill Validator
faceplate.
3.
Remove the two Phillips head screws from the bottom of the Bill Validator
faceplate. (Be careful not to yank, tear, or rip out the wires connected to the Bill
Validator).
4.
Once the wires on the right side of the Bill Validator are in view, grasp them at the
connector and disconnect them by gently rocking them back and forth.
5. Cleaning and General Maintenance
To clean the CashCode bill validator, first remove it from the Wash Select II using the above
procedure. Next, turn the validator face down. Push the button labeled “PUSH.” When you
do, the lower housing will open and reveal the sensors. Use an alcohol swab o clean the
heads and remove any visible debris. Fold up the bottom part of the lower housing. Press the
top part of the housing cover down until it latches shut.
6. Programming the CashCode Validator
The CashCode bill validator is programmed using the DIP switches located on the controller
board. To access these switches, remove the controller board cover plate by following the
instructions on the label. When you have located the DIP switches, refer to the following
image for the appropriate settings.
