8-2 How to set serial communication
When using RS232C or RS485, you need to make the settings according to the procedure below.
○NET Address settings
For multiple-unit control on the network via RS485 communication, Address of every unit needs to be set.
The setting of Address is made on the front panel of DC. The setting procedure is as follows.

● How to set Address
(1) First, press the MENU button on the front panel to display the MENU screen as shown below.
(2) On the MENU screen, press the
◄ or ► button to select CNFG item on the screen and then press
the ENT button.
* The selected item blinks.
The CNFG screen shown below appears.
(3) On the CNFG screen, press the
◄
or
► button to select OTHR item and press the ENT button.
The Option screen shown below appears.
(4) On the Option screen, press the
◄
or
► button to select HOST item and press the ENT button.
The Serial Communication Menu screen shown below appears.
(5) From the HOST communication menu, press the
◄ or ► button to select ADSR and press the ENT
button.
The NET ADDRESS Menu screen shown below appears.
On this screen, make the settings for Address of the units.
When the ENT button is once pressed, it turns into the editable mode. Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons for
UP and DOWN of the value and the ◄ and ► buttons to change the editing place of the value. After
editing, press the ENT button to accept the change.
