5. How to Operate

・

CNFG: this is used to set various parameters.

SYTM: this is used to set the operation mode and the number of connected power supplies

*. They cannot be changed in the DC ON mode.

LIMT: this is used to decide the limits of each output value.
ARC: this enables one to change the process parameters used when an arc occurs.

* At this level, the currently selected arc parameter is displayed at the upper right.

OTHR: this enables one to set the ignition level and various options.

・

SYTM: this is used to set the control mode and the number of connected power supplies*.

They cannot be changed in the DC ON mode.

CONT:    this is used to select an operation mode.
MODE:   this is used to select a control mode.
UNIT:    this is used to select the number of DC power supplies in use.

* This setting is available only to the master device with the built-in M/S function.

CONT: this is used to select an operation mode

LOCAL: Select this for operation using the front panel.
USER: Select this for operation via USER IO PORT.
HOST: Select this for operation via RS232C/RS485.

・

MODE: this is used to select a control mode.

SEL:

this is used to select a control mode.

LOCK: With this option, it can be set that the control mode is selected only on the front

panel.

・

SEL: this is used to select a control mode.

POWER:

the output is produced by the power control.

VOLTAGE: the output is produced by the voltage control.
CURRENT: the output is produced by the current control.

・

LOCK: With this option, it can be set that the control mode is selected only on the front panel.

NO:

the control mode is not locked.

YES:

the selection of a control mode from USER IO PORT is not accepted so that it can be
changed only on the front panel.
In the SERIAL communication control mode, the SERIAL communication is followed
regardless of what is selected.
