Section 4 - System Programming
This section details system programming options including time/date, password, base code, device
enrollment, NAC/Auxiliary/Relay activation and resetting, tandem detector activation and deactivation,
device editing, and zone assignment.
4.1 Keypad Buttons and Menu Navigation
The buttons located in the area below the LCD are used for menu navigation and data entry. These
include 4 Softkey, Up/Down/Left/Right, Enter and Back buttons. See figure 3 below for the location of
these buttons. The Up/Down/Left/Right buttons are used for menu navigation and character/number
selection. The Enter button is for selecting and unselecting data entry fields. The Back button takes you
one menu level back from the currently displayed menu. The softkeys are located directly under the
LCD and are the arrowed buttons pointing up at the LCD screen. The softkeys perform multiple
functions and will change as needed for the particular programming being performed. The softkey
functions are displayed on the highlighted bottom line of the LCD just above these buttons. This manual
will refer to the softkeys as numbers 1-4 from left to right.
