TX525 Service Manual

10. Remove the shaft assembly from the vise and clamp 

the starter housing into the vise.

11.  Slide the lever onto the shaft assembly between the 

washer and the clutch (Fig. 0766).

Note:  There is a notch in the bottom of the bearing 

assembly (Fig. 0768) that fits into the groove 

inside the housing (Fig. 0769). The notch 

and groove must be lined up to fully seat the 

bearing assembly in the housing.
