CLD101x 

5.3   Troubleshooting

Strange display messages

The CLD101x  shows unexpected display values, as for example:

 

·

The laser diode might not be installed correctly and/or the wrong pin type is selected. 

ü

Check the 

pin-out of the laser

 to determine type1 or type2 standard pin-out. 

ü

Check if the laser diode 

adapter is installed

 correctly.

Cannot switch on the TEC

·

NTC resistance measurement resulted in invalid values (too high or too low values)

·

Temperature reading shows "FAILURE" (NTC "OPEN" or "SHORT")

·

An error message "TEC output voltage protection was tripped - ..." appears, TEC does not
switch on: The laser current circuit seems to be interrupted.

Check the laser pin-out - only 

standard pin styles

 type1 and type2 can be used

ü

Check if the laser is installed

 correctly

 (pin type 1 or 2, pin 1 at correct location)

ü

The laser diode may be defective
