Use Optical Power for Display : Instead of the measured PD current, it can be converted into
optical power of the laser diode. For this purpose, the Photodiode Response must be set
properly. The responsivity of the photodiode can be calculated from the individual specifications
(individual data sheet) of the laser diode - usually, the manufacturer states the photodiode
current at nominal optical power. Please note the unit - mA/W - the photo current must be stated
in mA, the optical power in W. An alternative way to determine the PD response is to measure
the current and in the same time the optical power out of the laser, using an optical power meter.
PD response can be set between 0.010 and 10000.000 mA/W.
Example: The photo current is specified to 485 µA at 5.00 mW optical power. The response is

Photo Diode Polarity (CLD1011LP only) : The CLD1011LP allows to change the photodiode
polarity. Select the Polarity parameter using the arrows, then push EDIT button, or push the
Polarity topic a second time:

Select the desired polarity according to the pin code of your laser using the CG or AG button.
Press DONE to confirm change.
