Start operation in constant current or constant power mode and adjust the desired set value.
Connect the modulation source to the jack "MOD IN" (4). Avoid ground loops when connecting the
function generator.
The laser diode current "I

" can be monitored in the main panel.
If the injection current "I

" reaches the current limit "I
LIM
" in operation, the status message
lights up and the laser current is limited to the value of the current limit "I
LIM
". In this case, ripple and
noise do no longer correspond to the specifications for normal operation. However the set
maximum current "I
LIM
" cannot be exceeded.
