There may be various reasons for abnormal operation of the receiver. Please check the receiver
according to the procedures shown below. If the receiver does not work properly after checking
it, please contact your local Service line or THOMSON dealer. Alternatively you can send a
support mail via our website: www.thomsonstb.net. NEVER open or disassemble your receiver.
This may cause a dangerous situation and will void the warranty.

Check that the power adapter is plugged in
to the wall outlet. Make sure power switch
on rear panel is in ON position.
No picture or
sound
Wrong connection or

output of the receiver to TV.
Connect the Audio/Video output of the
receiver to TV correctly and check the
adjusted settings in the menu

The receiver can’t receive

Check the antenna cable, replace the
cable, or connect the cable to the receiver
tightly.
Incorrect values of some
transponder parameters.

Check the signal with a spectrum analyzer
and adjust your antenna correctly.

When receiver was powered off/
disconnected from signal for longer it can
take ~1-2h until a valid card is activated
again.

wrongly inserted or
exhausted.
Check whether the batteries are inserted
correctly or exhausted, if so replace the
batteries in the remote control.
The USB
storage device
is not working
properly.

Bigger sized HDD

USB 1.1/3.0 device

Format USB device by receiver in menu

partitions might need longer time to be
