4.5scanoptions
In this menu you can use
pq
to highlight the desired item and
tu
to change settings. Press
ok
to choose the desired item from the list.
Please carefully read the displayed instructions for each screen which will help you adjusting the
settings correct and easily.
Satellite:
Here you can check the available satellites which previously have
been setup.
Scan Mode:
Here you can select which channels you wish to scan for:
FTA & $
(all),
FTA
(only free to air) or
CA
(only scrambled).
Channel Type:
Here you can decide if you want to search for
TV & Radio
,
TV
or
Radio
channels only.
LCN:
Here you can select
ON
if you want to scan with LCN mode or
OFF
if you don’t like to.
NIT Search:
Here you can select
ON
if you want to scan for new appeared
channels or
OFF
if you don’t like to.
noTe:
We only recommend switching the LCN (Logical Channel Numbering) setting to ON, if you
want to load the Austrian broadcaster’s defined LCN list into your receiver.
NIT (Network Identification Table):
This option will scan on the NIT table of the appropriate satellite
and allows you to receive new appeared channels. Please
consider that unlike Astra 19.2 und HOT BIRD 13° some satellites
do not offer this function. Please check with your local dealer.
After everything is setup following to your preference, choose
Search 1 Sat
or
Search all Sat
with
tu
(depending on the availability and previous adjustments) and press
ok
there. The
receiver will perform the chosen scan process. Afterwards all found channels will be stored and
the receiver will switch to the first found channel respectively the first channel of the preset list
(depending on how it was setup).

We at THOMSON understand that you can’t wait to enjoy your new HD receiver. The following
quick guide will make you familiar with the basic operation of this device. We do, however,
advice you to read the full manual to get the best performance from your THOMSON HD
receiver.
To turn your receiver ON or to Standby, use the
q
button on the remote control or the button
on the left side of the front panel.
Choose the desired channel with the
pq
buttons or the
P+/P-
buttons. Alternatively, you can
digit the channel number with the
0~9
buttons on the remote control or press
ok
in viewing
mode to display the channel list.
The volume can be adjusted with the
v+/v-
buttons. The usage of
v+/v-
and
!
is possible in
ALL menus which present TV picture in background and can additionally be used in videotext
mode. In viewing mode you can also use the
tu
buttons.
The
PG+/PG-
enable you to scroll page wise in all list modes to make your channel or other
selection as comfortable as possible.
noTe:
5 min after switching the receiver to Standby it will enter the deep sleep mode. Within this
time the receiver is able to start up quickly. Starting up from deep sleep takes approx. 1 min.
