Programming the Configuration Flash
Memory
This tutorial provides comprehensive information that will help you understand how to
configure
MAX 10 NEEK Board using internal configuration mode. The MAX10 device on MAX 10 NEEK
Board supports dual image boot
. This tutorial explains the details of the
dual image boot.

The internal configuration scheme for all MAX 10 devices except for 10M02 device consists of the
following mode:
Dual Compressed Images—configuration image is stored as image0 and image1 in the
configuration flash memory(CFM).
Single Compressed Image.
Single Compressed Image with Memory Initialization.
Single Uncompressed Image.
Single Uncompressed Image with Memory Initialization.
In dual compressed images mode, you can use the BOOT_SEL pin to select the configuration
image.
