If you are currently editing a file in FILE mode, clicking Open will clear all settings and open a file that you select
from disk (you will be prompted for confirmation first).
•
If you are in FILE mode, but no changes have been made, clicking Open will immediately let you select a file to
open from disk without any prompts.
•
If you are in ONLINE mode, clicking Open will cause the computer to disconnect from the intercom system and
enter FILE mode (you will be prompted for confirmation). Then, you can select a file to open.
•
If you are operating in SERVER mode, you cannot open a file.
This item is available in the File menu and also via the Open button.
Other Alphas
Use
Other Alphas
to assign names and descriptions for party lines, IFB’s, UPL Resources, etc. These names
appear in the alphanumeric displays on keypanels after you assign the keypanel keys.
Note:
You can also change the name for a particular party line, IFB etc. in the relevant setup view
by pressing Ctrl+F12 on the computer keyboard. For example, suppose you just clicked the PL
button on the toolbar to set up a party line. Let's say you've decided to set up party line PL01 for
use with a group of camera operators, but you also want to change the name of the party line
from PL01 to CAMS. You can do this at the same time that you are assigning ports to the party
line. Just press Ctrl+F12.
