the crosspoint listen gain level for the currently viewed port.
The port you select becomes highlighted.
Alpha
display column
The Alpha field displays the selected alpha for which the party line
gain can be set.
Gain
display column
The Gain field displays the selected party line gain level for the
currently viewed party line.
Gain Controls
The Gain Controls area gives users the ability to set the gain level for each party line the
currently viewed party line listens to. The amount of gain can be manipulated from this area.
Gain
drop-down list
The Gain drop-down list displays the different levels of gain available
for the selected party line.
From the Gain drop-down list, select the amount of gain for the
selected party line.
Set Gain
button
The Set Gain button sets the gain for the selected party line(s).
1. Click Set Gain.
The gain is set for the selected party line.
Gain up/Gain
Down
button
The Gain Up/Gain Down arrows give the user the ability to increase
or decrease the gain incrementally without modifying the Set Gain
amount.
1. Click the Up arrow to increase the gain.
or
Click the Down arrow to decrease the gain.
Options
Show NON-Unity
Only
checkbox
The Show NON-Unity Only check box, when selected, will show
only Non-unity gain levels.
If the Show Non-Unity Only is selected, only those party lines that are
not set at the default level will display.
The default level of +0.0 dB is also called the unity gain level.
Normally, the list in the center of the screen will show the gains for all
party lines.
Reset Gain
button
The Reset Gain button resets the gain to its default level (+0.0 dB)
for party lines that are currently selected in the list in the center of the
screen.
1. Click Reset Gain.
The Gain is reset for the selected party lines.
Select All
button
The Select All button selects all the available party lines in the PL
column.
1. Click Select All.
All the party lines in the port column are highlighted.
De-select All
button
The De-select All button removes the highlight from the all the party
lines in the PL column.
1. Click De-select All.
All the party lines highlighted in the PL column are de-
selected.
Invert Selection
button
The Invert Selection button reverses the selections made. For
example, if 3 party lines are highlighted, and Invert Selection is
clicked, the three party lines that were highlighted are no longer
highlighted, while the rest of the PL list becomes highlighted.
2. Click Invert Selection.
The highlighted party lines are no longer highlighted, while
party lines that were not highlighted become highlighted.
