6.1 General Parameters
At ADDRESSES 60хх are programmed common parameters of the connected to the system communication devices.

Setting of communication options
The options are common for programmed telephone numbers.
Use the digit buttons to set the option numbers. Every pressing of the button changes alternatively
the option status.
Pay attention that for some options both of the statuses are used
– see the description of the options
in the table below. The option number 3 is not available for ECLIPSE 8/ 16 control panel.
At this address you set the following options:

Dialer Enable /
Disable
Using of the voice dialer (ECLIPSE VD) and the build-in digital
communicator (PSTN):
Disable (
)
– The communication devices are disabled (not used).
Enable (1)
– The communication devices are enabled.
Note: When the option 1 is enabled and no voice dialer is mounted to the
control panel
’s PC, the panel transmits a melody sound signal upon
occurrence of an ALARM event.

TLM Enable /
Disable
Enabling of Telephone Line Monitoring (TLM):
TLM Disable (

– The TLM is disabled.
TLM Enable (2)
– The TLM is enabled and in case of telephone line fault
the trouble message
“4. Tel. line trouble” is generated.

Enable / Disable
Generating of alarm event in case of telephone line failure:

– No alarm message is generated in case of
telephone line failure.

– An alarm message is generated in case of
telephone line failure.

Tone / Pulse
Option for the type of dialing:

Dial Tone / Blind

Enabling of “Wait dial tone” signal check:
DIAL TONE (

– The “Wait dial tone” signal check is enabled.
BLIND DIALING (5)
– The “Wait dial tone” signal check is disabled. The
“Blind dialing” is enabled.

ALL / Alternative
Option for setting the algorithm of sending alarm messages:
ALL (
)
– The messages are sent to all set telephone numbers, starting
with the first recorded one.
ALTERNATIVE (6)
– If the messages are successfully sent to the first
recorded phone number, the rest of the phone numbers are not dialled. If
the message transmission to the first phone number is failed, the system
will try to dial the next recorded phone number and so on until a
successful message transmission is achieved.
Note:
If the alarm events are assigned to different telephone numbers,
the setting of this option does not matter. In that case independent
message report to different telephone numbers is realized -
“SPLIT
Report”.
