GENERAL NOTES ON SMS

SMS FORMAT

The SMS are always composed of a heading (introductory frase) containing general
information and the event description.
The event description is identical with that stored in the event log, e.g. "Arming
Program 1 [perimeter]".

SMS TYPE

There are two types of SMS messages:

z

Traditional SMS (protocol 166)

z

SMS with warning signal (protocol 167)
Prior to transmitting the SMS message, the telephone communicator with GSM
module makes the addressee's mobile phone ring until the latter answers the
phone. If the addressee does not answer the call, the transmission is cancelled.
This is to ensure that the addressee notices the arrival of the SMS message.

EMERGENCY SMS

The telephone communicator with GSM module can be programmed so as to transmit
an emergency SMS instead of a voice message if the communication with the control
panel via serial bus RS485 is interrupted for more than 30 seconds.
A typical emergency message would be "Attention emergency message
TECNOCELL-PRO PL”.

WARNING

The emergency SMS is always transmitted with warning signal.
