4.5. WHEELS AND TYRES

Note. Should the machine be stopped for a prolonged period of time the
tyre pressure should be increased by 0.3 bar above the values indicated in
the previous table.
Check weekly for the presence of foreign bodies embedded in the tyre
tread and the presence of cuts or cracks on the rims.
A tyre in bad condition can explode and causing control
of the chopper to be lost as well as dragging the towing
tractor with it. Tyres should be replaced in a specialised
workshop.
4.6. MOVING BOTTOM
Cleaning the moving bottom
Clean the moving bottom belt weekly by removing the flap (P) of the
same, releasing the handles (G) of the bottom of the machine and removing
the remains of accumulated product.
Checking and adjusting the chain tension.
If the tyres are not sufficiently inflated
damage can be caused to the internal
structure
as well as premature
deterioration.
If they are over inflated the wheels
may bounce on hard surfaces causing
the subsequent loss of steering and
uneven wearing.
Check the tyre pressure weekly
according to the following table, which
are included, the tyres mounted on the
chopper and the pressures of the
wheels depending on the model of the
machine.
To adjust the chain tension
the nuts of the bearings (T) on
both sides of the belt should be
tightened
so that the
transmission shaft moves
completely aligned.
If the chain is worn or pulled it
should be replaced with a new
one by dismounting the chain
using the connection link (1).
