THE "E / M"MODEL IS FOR CATTLE
On
the “E / M" straw chopper model the cutting turbine is replaced by
two cutting rollers (R), specially designed for chopping straw for cattle (see
Figure 1.9).
The chopping roller system not only allows straw to be chopped, but
also allows the damp silage to be chopped/ shredded.
The roller moves thanks to a gear and chain transmission (T) situated on
the outside of the box and protected by a cover (see figure 1.7).
The roller is fed by a comb-like
device that distributes the straw to
be chopped at the input. The roller
is also fitted with interchangeable
knives (C), which have greater
cutting power than the cutting
turbine.
As in other models, a
blower turbine (S) installed
in the bottom of the box,
behind the roller, ensures
distribution through the
discharge nozzle.
