To start up the machine again:
1.
Check the external condition of the chopper, mechanisms, protections
etc.
2.
Access the tractor cab, check that there is none of the services are on,
switch on and start
Before starting to move the chopper, ensure that there
is no one nearby.
3.5. LOADING TESTS
Half load tests:
In order to become familiar with the chopping system and to check the
correct working of the mixer upon reception, the machine should be loaded
with approximately 50% of the capacity of the box. For example, half a bale
of straw
It must be checked that the products added to the box, circulate
continuously without any jamming, the machine is not being forced and that
during when the chopper is operating; it is not forcing the tractor.
This test is intended to:
1.
Check the feed of the moving bottom of the box
2.
Adjust feed speed, checking the amount of chopped straw leaving
the chute does so continuously and evenly.
3.
Give practice loading the product
4.
Ensure that the user fully understands the working method of
machine.
Maximum load tests:
After the above test, a full load should be performed until the maximum
capacity of the box (two or three bales of straw or silage, depending on
model).
This test is intended to:
1.
Test the two feed speed (high and low) of the moving bottom,
ensuring that the amount of chopped straw leaving the shoes does
so continuously and evenly.
2.
Practise closing the tailgate after loading
Once the loading tests have finished the general state of the machine
should be checked.
If these operations are not carried out this could provoke
wear on the machine and cause it not to work properly. Any
faults caused by these maladjustments will not be covered
by the guarantee.
3.6. EXTENDED STOPPAGE OF THE CHOPPER
For prolonged shutdown of the straw chopper:
1.
Park the chopper on level ground away from ditches, canals, furrows,
embankments or ditches, where it is not in the way of persons or
machinery.
2.
Check that no other service is working, loading belts and chute, etc.
3.
Stop the tractor and remove the keys from the ignition During the
parking process, consider the following recommendation:
The chopper operator will have the keys to the tractor
trailing it in his possession while performing any
operation on the chopper.
