6) Securing the cord on the boom front end 

1. Pull out the wire from the support at the top 

surface of the top boom section.    Once the cord 
is pulled into the boom for about 400 mm (1.3ft) 
from the grommet, temporarily fix the cord to the 
support. 

2. Fix the cord to the support as follows. 

Hook the cord by passing its portion covered with 
a poly tube through the support and tie a bowline.   
Then tie the poly tube portion that is looped back 
with a fastener. 

3. Fix the support with bolts to the upper surface of 

the boom. (2 places) 

4. Fix the cord with a fastener inside the boom.   

(1 place) 

5. Plug the cord terminals that are of the same color. 

 

7) Restoring the original condition 

- Install the winch and the sheave at the upper side 

of the boom front end to return to the original 
condition. 

  Tightening torque for the bolts to install the winch: 

126 ± 7N-m (93 ± 5 ft-lbf)
