4.9 Connecting the energy supply

There is a risk of fatal injury from contact with live
parts.

Connect energy supplies in such a way that
they cannot be destroyed thermally or mechan-
ically.

Connect all non-conductive connections,
e.g. decoupled profile frames, to the
earth bond point of the building.

Earth the device properly.
–
When connecting the electrical components,
comply with the local electrical regulations as
well as the general recommendations to avoid
electromagnetic interferences.
–
In case of outdoor installation, the client must
provide shades for the control cabinet against
direct sunlight.
–
In case of outdoor installation, consider
external influences such as rain, snow, wind
and direct sunlight.
–
Outdoor installations must be resistant against
UV radiation.
–
Guide the services into the device exclusively
through water and air-tight threaded joints.

Control cabinets can be pivoted on the device.

Refer to the device drawing for the exact posi-
tions of the control cabinet. The unit drawing
is fixed to the outside of the transport sec-
tion of the unit and is supplied as a sepa-
rate document with the operating manual; see
Chapter 2.1.1 ‘Type of packaging’
Control cabinet at right angles to the device.

Remove the standpipe and device base from
the accessory pack and assemble it on the
control cabinet. Refer to the device drawing for
the exact position.
