The sticker (Fig. 24) marks the connection for the feed line of the
air cooler.
The sticker (Fig. 25) marks the connection for the return line of the
air cooler.
The procedures for connecting the pipes to the marked air heater
and air cooler connections are described below.
1.
Assemble a bleeder valve at the highest point
2.
Assemble a drain valve at the lowest point.
3.
Assemble shut-off devices in the flow and return lines.
4.
Assemble a dirt strainer in the inlet pipe.
5.
When connecting the pipes, pay attention to
the labelling of the terminal (counterflow prin-
ciple).
Note the description in relation to a flange
connection.
Hold the connection pipe (Fig. 26/4) on to the air heater and
air cooler connections with pipe tongs (Fig. 26/1).
6.
Connect the pipeline (Fig. 26/3) using other pipe tongs
(Fig. 26/2) to the connecting pipe (Fig. 26/4) on the air heater
and air cooler connections. When connecting, ensure that the
connecting pipe is not twisted.
7.
Flush the water circuit with water before filling the water cir-
cuit.
8.
Fill the water circuit according to the technical data sheet of
the respective heat transfer media. See the technical data in
the
Ä
“
Operating manual
”
.
9.
If the heat exchanger is not bled, then the
performance will be reduced and may mal-
function.
Bleed the heat exchanger with the aid of the bleeder valve
assembled at the highest point.
