Note that only SBus systems can test with a loopback plug. You cannot use a
loopback cable with a PCI card.

Unable to communicate to the volume from
the data host, or excessive number (more than
10 in 24 hours) of online/offline messages in the

/var/adm/messages

 file.

Identify the failing array by decoding the messages.

In the failing array, are any errors indicated
in the array

/syslog

 file?

Decode errors and replace
failed component in the array.

Run StorTools appl.
Does it pass?
