Chapter 8: Maintenance
Formatting a New Data Card
When the Analyzer powers up, it will display a message about the data card not being formatted or that the
data card is from another Analyzer. A "C" will also appear in the maintenance alert area of the screen.
1. Press SETUP from the Main Menu to access the SETUP menu.
2. Highlight MAINTENANCE and press ENTER.
3. Highlight DATA CARD and press ENTER .
4. Press the FRMAT key to format the data card.
5. Press YES to the question, “Do you wish to continue?” The Analyzer formats the data card.
6. Press NEXT to view the size of the card and the days remaining.
7. Press EXIT three times to return to the Main Menu .
Verification and Calibration
Users should not need to perform either verification or calibration as part of normal operation or routine
maintenance. The Analyzer is initially calibrated and verified at the factory using highly reliable conductivity
cells. This calibration is stable and does not require checking at regular intervals.
Cleaning Instructions
When cleaning the instrument, use only a clean cloth dampened with water.
Returning Product to SUEZ
Save the shipping carton and packing materials that came with the Analyzer. If for any reason the Analyzer
must be returned to the factory, it must be packed in the original carton to ensure that no damage occurs
during shipment. There is a charge for new packaging materials to return the Analyzer. The Analyzer must
be insured during all phases of shipment.
Prior to shipment it is critical that all water be purged from the Analyzer's system:
1. Shut off water to the Analyzer and disconnect the inlet lines.
2. Run the Analyzer in the STANDBY mode to empty the excess water.
Note:
The calibration of the Analyzer should not change. If there is a significant discrepancy
between the Expected Boron Value and Measured Boron Value reported at the end of the
verification process, contact Technical Support or your local service provider.
