Step Two: Configure the Analyzer
The default baud rate for the Analyzer is 19200 and must match that of the system collecting the data. If
you need to change the Analyzer baud rate:
1. Press SETUP from the Main Menu .
2. Using the UP and DOWN arrow keys, highlight INPUT/OUTPUT and press ENTER .
3. Highlight SERIAL PORT to access the settings for the Analyzer’s serial port. Using the UP and
DOWN arrow keys, highlight the desired baud rate and press ENTER (or press EXIT to exit the
SERIAL PORT menu without saving any changes to the baud rate setting).
4. Press EXIT three times to return to the Main Menu .
Step Three: Connect the RS-232 Cable to the Computer
Step Four: Cycle the Analyzer Power
The Analyzer must have its power cycled for the serial port baud rate setting to take effect and for the
computer to recognize the Analyzer. To do this:
1. Turn off and then turn on the Analyzer using the power switch on the side of the Analyzer.
