Chapter 5: System Configuration
When the stream name is displayed or printed, two characters ("-x") are appended to the 12-character
stream name, with "x" indicating stream number 1, 2, 3, or 4.
To select STREAM ENABLED/DISABLED :
1. Highlight that field using the UP and DOWN arrow keys and press EDIT .
2. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to toggle between ENABLED or DISABLED .
3. Press ENTER to save the change and return to the STREAM SETTINGS menu.
To edit the number of SAMPLES/STREAM :
1. Highlight that field using the UP and DOWN arrow keys and press EDIT .
• If the SAMPLE MODE has been set to INDIVIDUAL , the display will show the number of
individual samples that will be reported for that stream.
• If the SAMPLE MODE has been set to AVERAGED , the display will show the number of
averaged results that will be reported for that stream. Each averaged result consists of
5 sample measurements that are averaged after the fifth measurement is complete. For
example, if the display shows "# Averaged Measurements: 4", this indicates that 20 samples
will be measured for this stream, with 4 averaged results being reported (one after every fifth
sample measurement).
2. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to increase or decrease the number of samples.
• In INDIVIDUAL mode, the number will increase from 5 to 240 in increments of 5.
• In AVERAGED mode, the number will increase from 1 to 48 in increments of 1.
3. Press ENTER to save the change and return to the STREAM SETTINGS menu. The bottom of the
display will show the updated amount of time the Analyzer will spend analyzing that stream before
advancing to the next stream.
ADVANCED
Selecting the ADVANCED option from the Setup menu opens a submenu that allows you to access
DIAGNOSTICS, CAL. CONSTANTS, CELL CONSTANTS, and SERIAL PORT . From the Setup menu:
1. Highlight ADVANCED and press ENTER .
DIAGNOSTICS
This options runs a series of tests used to determine if any of the electronics are performing outside of their
specifications. Performing diagnostic testing should only be done in the event of an electronics malfunction
detected by the firmware and you have been directed to perform such testing by Technical Support or your
local service provider. To access the DIAGNOSTICS menu:
1. Press SETUP from the Main Menu , highlight the ADVANCED menu option.
2. Select DIAGNOSTICS , and press ENTER . For information on diagnostic testing, contact Technical
Support or your local service provider.
