10.2. Cleaning and Maintenance
10.2.1. Mouthpiece, Valve and
Filling Chamber
For hygienic reasons, the SOLID
VALVE component parts (Valve
Balloon with Mouthpiece and Filling
Chamber) should be cleaned at least
once every two weeks. To prevent
any transfer of infectious germs, the
Valve Balloon and Mouthpiece should
be used only by one person, and not
shared by multiple individuals. The
component parts should be cleaned
regularly to guarantee proper function-
ing and a clean taste. For hygienic rea-
sons, a thorough cleaning is required
whenever the SOLID VALVE is to be
used by another individual. The Bal-
loon should be replaced whenever the
Valve is cleaned.
Isopropyl alcohol with paper or cotton
cloths or warm water with dishwashing
liquid can be used for manual cleaning.
As the content of the Valve Bal-
loon deFates, it may be com
-
pletely emptied by strechting
the Balloon taut and subsequently in-
haling the content.

To avoid residual moisture
deposition in the Valve Bal-
loon, and to minimize the risk
of possible contamination, do
not blow into the Valve Bal-
loon.
Manual cleaning with isopropyl alcohol
(70 %) or detergent
